Ee by gum - Beyonce sings at the O2

Lets face it, everyone loves having a default option and we all know why. It is because the default option is the number one choice for anyone who can’t be arsed to think. It is also why Beyonce appears in so many marketing campaigns – she is the default option for anyone creating a marketing campaign that is aimed at the ‘kids’.

Now we can add Cadbury Trident to the list. The confectionery manufacturer is paying for the singer to do an exclusive gig at the O2 and is offering ‘the kids’ 13,000 tickets to go and see her sing.

Marvelous, I’m sure the gum chewing masses will appreciate that one. They’ll be busily masticating and covering the floor with sticky gunk while she sings that song telling women to make their boyfriends propose to them. I suspect it’ll be rather like Johnny Cash plays San Quentin, except the music will be crap and you’ll be walking out with sticky shoes.

Still it could be worse, at least it’s not Girl Aloud.
