[caption id="attachment_648" align="alignleft" width="247" caption="Mallet: I painted this shirt myself"]Mallet: I painted this shirt myself[/caption] Timmy Mallet has ditched the foam hammer in favour of a paintbrush. The days of Timmy whacking children over the head with his mallet, shouting 'bleuuugh' and careering around in loud shirts are but a distant memory.  The Timmy of 2009 wishes to be regarded as a "serious artiste" and given that his works sell for £400 a pop, it appears that there is a market for him. Who these people are is unclear and we wonder if they boast of having a "Mallet original". Somehow this seems unlikely. "Anybody who really knows me refers to me as Timmy and his palette, not Timmy and his mallet," the ex TV presenter, who last year appeared on 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!', told the Metro. Oh Timmy. We can't believe you spent all those years hell bent on branding yourself as a complete buffoon, when beneath your wackadey surface the next Van Gogh, or Tony Hart maybe, was just waiting to be let out. Full points for the repositioning though.
