Adele may have been willing to get her
boobs out for Anna Wintour but she has drawn the line at having her music used as a soundtrack in an egg-timer promotion. For refusing to be a complete sellout, Adele we applaud you.
The 'Chasing Pavements' singer, nominated for two awards at the Brits tonight, was offered the ad deal in Israel.
She said: "They asked me if they could use 'Hometown Glory' on a TV advert to promote an egg-timer. They were paying really good money but I was like 'no'. Even though nobody in England or America would probably ever see it, I definitely had to turn that down."
Adele will however be appearing in Vogue after being invited to pose for a feature spread in the magazine by US editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
She wasn't too proud to bag a "really nice dress" out of the deal either -- I guess haute couture beats eggy money.
