The Australian Tourist board must be kicking themselves... While they are associated with Baz Luhrmann's £86m epic cheesefest of a movie 'Australia', written off in some quarters (I think they're known as critics) as little more than a tourism ad, their colleagues in India have come up trumps with Golden Globe laden 'Slumdog Millionaire' so soon after the Mumbai terrorist attacks.

AR Rehman who wrote the film's score, and picked up a Golden Globe alongside director Danny Boyle, reckons the movie has promoted Mumbai tourism to a great extent. "I don’t think any city in the world has been portrayed as vibrantly as Mumbai. I got the right vibes in LA. Many people, including Akon and Nelly Furtago, want to come to India to collaborate with our entertainment industry. We just need to carry it forward."
