Actress Kristin Scott Thomas ruffled a few fashion feathers at the Golden Globes the other week.
She was doing the usual red carpet waltz after being nominated for her performance as an ex-con in the much lauded French flick 'I’ve Loved You So Long'.

You and I both know the score –- you flash lots of fake smiles, bit of flesh (hold the stomach in), chat about the stiff competition you’re up against and twirl around in your gown, while screeching out who made it. And how they're like your most favourite designer like ever...until next week.
Scott Thomas clearly didn’t get the memo on this one and when asked what designer she was wearing, she replied: “My skin”.
Sorry, what? Could you repeat that, I think we misheard.
No doubt the designer, which was actually Lanvin, was none-to-pleased with Kristin’s failure to give the fashion house the obligatory plug.
Some LA folk are saying the remark showed disrespect to the fashion community and possibly contributed to her missing out on an Academy Award nomination.
Yikes. I guess it pays to play the game. It's a shame as I'm pretty sure Kristin wouldn't gush like the river Winslet Thames if she won (sorry Kate).
